Father was here for the Whipple Procedure. Since he was going to stay for extended period, we reach out ahead of time about an extended stay for myself and mother. They got us with a cottage rental by Lorrie Alpine. Her 1 bedroom cottage was perfect for us to wait during surgery and relax at when we came home at night. Appreciated the surgeon team calling us every 2-3 hours as we waited. Once my dad was in recovery, the doctors, physical therapists and nurses on 14A treated my dad and us with great hospitable and care. Always very professional and polite. Did everything they could to make us comfortable. Very thankful for their care.

From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt an emotion of relief. The staff is attentive and educated. The facilities are not only stunning to look at but appear to be maintained very well. My wife has been dealing with a growth on her pancreas for almost 2 years now and has been pushed to the side so to speak at hospitals elsewhere. A big thank you to everyone at OHSU in Portland.

Such a positive, healing environment! Staff really seem to care and be resourceful, and the providers are sharp. You and your loved ones are in good hands. The views are spectacular and therapeutic, both Helens and Hood visible on clear days.

Wonderful place. Great dedicated staff who love their job and take ever opportunity to go the extra mile with care. State of the art buildings that are well managed and great maintenance and managment over all. All systems and departments work flawlessly together and awesome Cooks in the several different kitchens and cares. I all ways appreciate the care and environment OHSU provides when a loved one or I fall ill. Thanks for all you do and keep it up!

I had to change my review from yesterday. The doctors on the 14th floor are dope people. They took care of me the right way with passion and care. Other people may have bad experiences with the doctors here at OHSU but coming from me those people are tweaks. Not everyone is perfect but 97% of the staff I ran across are dope people! Alex who works in the emergency department the African American male, he deserves a few days off!! Hard working man I respect him! He went to another floor to get my lady whom who have cancer right now to get her a comfortable chair to sit in while she waited. That’s dope. Thank you OHSU for being dope people.!

Dr. Petrisor performed miracles on me. I had stage four cancer. A massive tumor in my head. Expected to live a year with surgery. With a lot of surgeries in between. It’s been 10 years now and still kicking. He’s the most caring human being I’ve ever met ! I pray he is okay. I hope he’s there for my next surgery! Wouldn’t want anyone else. Love you Doc.

I just recently went to their ER and stayed in there overflow/pre opt area. In the entire time, I was there, they never made me feel like I was just a number, I was a patient. It was me and them against the problem. I always had a decision and I was always talked to, like I knew what was going on, not like I didn't. They kept me very comfortable and informed the entire time. I was there, their nurses and staff. Always let me ask as many questions as I wanted and answered them to the best of their ability. They were the only hospital that was willing to help me when I really, really needed help. Which is just amazing on its own. They also inform you really well before you go home and give you extras. If you need it! And the other thing that they did that was super awesome is they helped me and my dad find a place to sleep for the night before we had to go back to Pendleton. Thank you so much for taking care of me. I really appreciate it!

I am incredibly impressed with the service and the speed with which they attend to patients. Everyone is super friendly—from the nurses and the reception staff to the doctors themselves. I honestly feel that if I could give them 1,000 stars, I would. I am so grateful to have found this place; they provide very detailed information and even help you find a primary care physician.

OHSU Hospital provided exceptional care from start to finish. The physicians, nurses, and staff were professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I felt listened to, respected, and well-informed throughout my wife’s treatment. The medical team worked together efficiently and provided the highest level of care. I am extremely grateful for their dedication and expertise. OHSU is an outstanding hospital, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking excellent medical care. Thank you for everything.

I delivered my baby at OHSU and I feel so lucky to have had the very best delivery team and the most caring nurses in the NICU and mother&baby units. When I was in early labor, my entire delivery team came for a meeting with me and my partner to discuss my desired birth plan. They took the time to understand and respect our choices while also explaining every option objectively - always prioritizing my comfort and my baby’s safety. There were so many examples of nurses going above and beyond to provide encouragement and care, especially post-delivery. If you were in labor and delivery on December 1st, in NICU on 12/2 or on the mother&baby floor in the days following, we are forever grateful for you! Special love to Nurse Skye and Nurse Nikki 💕
